DX / RX - A Photo Troubleshooting Guide

A Photographic

Troubleshooting Guide

As the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words”.

Over the years many people have sent me photos of their birds that were ill and in trouble.

From my own experience, and Dr. Rob Marshall’s expert guidance,

I have compiled a gallery of photos that I hope will help you diagnose your bird’s illness. Alongside each photo there is a diagnosis and treatment option.

I’m sure that there are many that will not be covered here, but as more photos are submitted, I will add them to the gallery to make it as complete as I possibly can.

Many of the illnesses can be treated by you, at home. But if the Treatment listed recommends that you take your bird to an avian vet, please do so as soon as possible. There are some conditions that will need their expertise to resolve.

I want to thank everyone who has submitted photos to me. I have been able to contact many of them to get permission to display their photos. But I have lost touch with some of them. In the event that you see one of your photos in the gallery that you do not wish to be displayed, please contact me and it will be removed.

It is my sincere hope that this educational tool will enable you to quickly diagnose any problem that may come up and begin treatment as soon as possible.
