Thermo-Perch

The Thermo-Perch™ provides a gentle source
of warmth (102-107F along its length) that circulates through your bird’s feet. Unlike heat lamps that can get too hot or dry out feathers, the Thermo-Perch™ provides safe, therapeutic warmth only when your bird needs it. It’s unique shape helps to reduce foot cramping. Even in summer, the Thermo-Perch™ will counteract the harmful effects of air-conditioning.

Cold is a major contributor to health problems for exotic birds, and providing warmth is the first step that veterinarians turn to. Thermo-Perch™ is thermostatically controlled to help them safely regulate their body temperature. This allows the bird to pick the spot that provides the warmth it needs. This safe, convenient source of warmth stabilizes the bird’s environment and contributes to the bird’s overall health and well being.

Made of scratch and bite resistant plastic, the Thermo-Perch™ attaches easily to wire cages. I have also attached them to my hand-made wire cages by simply cutting a small opening through which I tread the holding bar. The cord is protected with steel wire and is positioned away from the cage. The Thermo-Perch™ utilizes safe, harmless 12-volt, low voltage electricity to heat the perch. Thermo-Perch™ can be left on year round, 24 hours a day.
