Vetafarm's Spectovet Solutabs

In-water Broad spectrum antibiotic treatment for birds for the control and treatment of infections from organisms susceptible to the action of Lincomycin and Spectinomycin in birds. These may include Mycoplasma (Chronic Respiratory Disease or CRD), Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Corynebacteria, E.coli and Salmonella.

Directions for use:

Preparation of medicated water: Add 1 Spectovet Solutab per 3.54 fl. oz (100ml) of drinking water and mix to completely dissolve.

Administration: Provide enough water for a 24 hour period – For example: 1 Tbs of water per 3.5oz body weight (100g). Store the remainder of the medicated water in the refrigerator. Use medicated drinking water as the only source of drinking water available to the animals during the period of treatment. Discard unused medicated drinking water and replace with freshly prepared water daily. Duration of treatment: Supply medicated drinking water for a minimum of 5 days (7 days is optimal).

Active Constituents: Spectinomycin 35mg/tab, Lincomycin 18mg/tab

Restraints: DO NOT allow rabbits, hamsters, guineapigs, horses, or ruminants. Ingestion by these species may result in severe gastrointestinal effects.

WITHHOLDING PERIOD: Not to be used for birds producing meat or eggs for human consumption

This product should "only be used with sick birds". It is not meant to be used as a preventative medication.
