Benefits
Ioford is a health stimulant for all birds which contains iodine, iron, calcium, zinc,  magnesium and vitamin D3. It is used in conjunction with DufoPlus to improve color intensity, fertility and egg quality during breeding and as a stress reliever. Ioford is also used to invigorate the show bird prior to showing.

Iron & iodine at correct levels.
Iodine is the most important trace element for a good molt and for successful breeding, but in overdose, retards the thyroid gland and therefore depresses breeding performance and retards the molt.

Many fanciers use iodine and iron but very few if any know the exact requirements for their birds. An overdose of iron damages the liver. Iron given at the correct levels enhances health and accelerates the recovery from stress or illness. It is also necessary for the young developing aviary birds when the nutritional requirements for molting and muscle development are complex and demanding.

Ioford is used to improve fertility and egg quality during the breeding season
The iodine in Ioford is an essential trace element beneficial for fertility, feather growth and overall health and vitality. The calcium, vitamin D3 and magnesium in the Ioford increase breeding performance, improves feather quality and helps to prevent egg binding, soft shelled eggs, egg laying paralysis and pipping deaths.

Iron is needed for blood cell production in the growing babies. Iodine stimulates reproduction, growth and fertility in the adults and stimulates feather production in the youngsters. The calcium, magnesium and vitamin D3 are balanced scientifically to provide the hen with the exact proportions for the production of perfect eggs and continuing good health.

The vitamin D3 in Ioford is of special relevance to birds bred indoors.

Ioford for young and molting birds
Ioford accelerates the molt and development of young birds. Iodine is the most important trace element for a good molt, because it stimulates the thyroid gland to produce the hormones, which control the speed of the molt. The zinc in Ioford is used to stimulate the immune system of the developing youngster. This promotes a strong natural resistance in the youngster during this critical developmental age. The calcium and magnesium are all involved in improving the feather quality and feather strength during the molt.

Ioford stimulates the healthy show bird into peak condition by show
Ioford is given for three days prior to the show to energize and invigorate the show bird for the very best performance on the day of competition. On show days the bird is alert and keen to perform.
